My passion is sewing for children who are ill and need something to hold when they're scared or don't feel well and to bring a smile to their sweet faces.
I'm doing something similar - a fun kids book about penguins and a little penguin stuffy, tucked in a drawstring bag decorated with a penguin applique :) I've sent the set to one g-nephew so far, and have been cutting out the fabrics to make similar kits for the rest of the kids in the family (along with my neighbours' littlies) for Christmas!
They will love it!!! I have a set of finger puppets that I bought to go with "Wombat Stew" and the kids never tire of acting along with the story.
That's a great idea. Do you get to meet the children who receive your donations?
